Over reacting and getting mad without all the facts will get your face cracked…
I’m writing this article as this is a place to spill my thoughts and write at the same time. I ain’t hurting nobody. So I get this email invoice from ebay and within one second I hit the ceiling “WTF? A F-ing bill?” then I open the email and it’s a zero balance — yeah I had to laugh at that one — blood pressure increased and decreased in 3 seconds. I had to write about jumping the gun and getting upset.
I remember this homeless guy was washing car windows in the grocery store parking lot and from a distance it looked like mine. I picked up my pace as I didn’t tell this MF to wash my windows. I ain’t cheap and definitely give to the homeless — until I saw one on the side of the building counting his bank roll. I told him later that I saw him from my car and if I had been the vicious type I would have taken the money from him. He changed his strategy and I did too, I don’t give as much…
I digressed…I do that…sorry…
I was like, why he couldn’t he wait until I got out the store to wash my windows. I get closer and he’s washing a small car next to mine but it looked like mine…you had to be there but the point is I was reacting without all the facts…
I was waiting for a package from Amazon that promised to arrive on a certain date. I didn’t get it on time and raved that I could’ve simply went to Staples and now I have to call to see what the hell is going on. I paced the floor and wasted about fifteen minutes venting about their inefficiencies. Then I decided to look at the order one last time and I had read the date wrong. What a waste of time and is was my fault. I over reacted…
One last one, I was in my jeep in a fast food line. This homeless person came up behind me and I whipped out my tiny .22 and commenced to act like I had an uzi and told him to back the F-up. He was like “I only wanted a quarter”, still he shouldn’t be walking up on folks in a drive thru for a quarter that wouldn’t buy him nada anyway. That happened a long time ago…the guy probably tells his friends the same story. “This black woman pulled a little cheezy .22 on me at the drive thru fellas. She didn’t know I could’ve grabbed the gun and broke her F-ing arm but I didn’t do that I retained my calm and walked away! Me! I walked away!” he probably chuckled to his pals as they know it could’ve been true cuz they know he a psycho….
I’m not an angry person I just gave a few examples, they didn’t all occur in the same day. As I write this I’m telling myself to have all the facts before I let my mind run wild, get irritated and upset. I’m here on Medium because I wanted to vent about my MAC tripping out on me so in this case it worked out.
We all get mad about something and then later get our face cracked becuz we over reacted.
I’m just writing thoughts cuz Medium is giving up the space…Thank you Medium!
