Sellfy or Shopify To Sale Digital Downloads?
I was looking for something and ran across a blog that mentioned Sellfy for digital downloads. I checked it out and was impressed! I got happy because I could put my films, books, webinars, t-shirts, artwork, magazines, and downloadable pdf’s all in one place! I was in heaven for a second…
Sellfy is definitely quick and I can have a store up and running in an hour. I can’t customize as much as I would like (I want sliders) and the analytics count me…sorta like Medium.com does. Analytics and customization are important to me but I sure like Sellfy…but I decided to do more research which led me to Shopify.
I had a store with Shopify a few years back and I think it was $35 a month and the t-shirts I was selling I really didn’t focus on (no sales) and thought $35 a month wasn’t worth it so after a month or two I dropped Shopify.
So I crawled back to Shopify and I immediately saw that I would have to put some work into the store to get what I want. I have to add a plug-in to be able to sell any type of downloadable media and if I want the sliders to work…well more work. But! I like the analytics! The analytics are wonderful and will give me all the details I need along with more customization features for sure.
I’m sorry Sellfy I really like your website but you are basically a Rookie and Shopify is a Veteran. However, if Shopify gives me any grief I will cross over to you instantly.
